SUE'S OBITUARY FROM THE MIDDLESBROUGH EVENING GAZETTE 22/09/2007
"KINDHEARTED with a trademark smile" is how distraught relatives of Sue Boddy will remember her.
She died suddenly from a heart attack on july 30, aged 53.
A loving mother and friend who worshipped her children. Sue leaves behind her three sons, Christopher, 24, Matthew, 20, and James, 16, and partner of two-years, Andrew Dunlevey.
Born Susan Dale and raised in Billingham, she qualified as a nurse in 1974 At North Tees Hospital before working at James Cook Hospital in the endoscopy department.
Commitments at home to her autistic son, Christopher, saw Sue work part-time until her death as a practice nurse at Dr Banergees surgery in Stockton.
Described as a popular woman who "had a heart as big as a lion's, her kindness was "legendary" and knew no limits.
Mother Joyce Dale, 83, recalls how sue would pop into see her everyday, buying cream cakes to share with a cup of tea.
"She was my living soulmate" said Joyce.
"I think of her when I get up in the morning until I go to bed - it's terrible - I thought she would be here forever".
Brother Marc remembers football fan Sue taking him to his first Boro game when they beat Arsenal 5-0.
"She promised me that every match would be like that," he said.
Partner Andrew nicknamed Sue, " My little Florence Nightingale", and said she used to buy patients toiletries from her own money, would help anyone in need, and was a regular donor to charity.
An avid volunteer, Sue would help out at the Red Cross and clubs for the disabled making friends everywhere she went.
She loved to go walking and dining, socialising with friends and the theatre.
Hundreds of people including former work colleagues attended Sue's funeral at Billingham Baptist Church.
"Life is just not the same without her - it's no fun anymore," said partner Andrew.
"Everyone who knew her loved her and I miss her so much.
We weren't engaged but would've been in the future.
" She was a very special nurse mother and lady who will be tremendously missed."
(Sue also worked for long periods at The Sedgfield General Hospital, The North Riding Infirmary and The Middlesbrough General Hospital ,the later 2 have now been knocked down)
ANDREW'S TRIBUTE
Sue was my girlfriend more than that she was my life everyday I woke up so happy knowing I was going to see her or speak to her. Whatever I was feeling be it a bit down or sad or depressed I knew that once I saw her smiling face it would lift me. She was the kindest, most generous and caring loving person I ever knew ,she would give of her time without a second thought , I knew her for the last 2 years of her life, AND I can honestly say meeting her changed my life, she was a remarkable lady small in statue but big in heart. I miss spending time with her alone when we would talk about her problems and I would try to fix them but whenever we got one problem sorted another 2 seemed to pop up so it was a never ending task, but what fun we had trying.
Although we only knew each other 2 years we crammed so much into those 2 years it seemed more like 20 to me it was a whirlwind romance that would have gone on forever.
I am really glad i got the chance to spend time with Susan we really loved each other so so much and we had a lot of laughs and so much fun on our journey I will miss her so much and will cherish our memories forever
Your Andrew xxxx

Hapy Valentines Day Sue xxxxxxxx
Valentine treasures are people who
have often crossed your mind,
family, friends and lovers too,
who in your life have shined
the warmth of love or a spark of light
that makes you remember them;
no matter how long since you’ve been together,
each one is a luminous gem,
who gleams and glows in your memory,
bringing special pleasures,
and that’s why this Valentine comes to you:
You’re one of those sparkling treasures!
RIP
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best...
Your presence I really miss,
Your memory I treasure,
Loving you always,
Forgetting you never.
No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say goodbye,
You were gone before i knew it,
And only God knows why.
now yr with yr mam,
happy and content,
but i will always remember,
times with you i spent
